5. Data Ownership
Your data is your data. All training records, qualification data, officer information, weapon inventory data, and other content entered into the Service by your agency remains the property of your agency. BrassOps does not claim ownership of any data you input into the platform.
You grant BrassOps a limited license to host, store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. This license terminates when your subscription ends and your data is deleted.
6. Anonymized Data and N.A.R.M.S.
BrassOps may generate anonymized, aggregated data from platform usage for the National Anonymous Range Metrics System (N.A.R.M.S.) and for improving the Service. This data cannot be used to identify any individual officer, instructor, or agency. Your participation in N.A.R.M.S. benchmarking is part of the Service.

- We reserve the right to modify pricing with 60 days' written notice before your next renewal period.
8. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned maintenance.
9. Data Export and Portability
You may export your data from the Service at any time during your active subscription. Upon cancellation or termination, we will provide a complete data export in a standard, machine-readable format. Data will be retained for 90 days following cancellation to allow for export, after which it will be permanently deleted.
10. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, features, documentation, and branding, is the intellectual property of BrassOps and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service during your subscription term.
11. AI-Powered Features
The Service includes AI-powered shot analysis and other automated features. These tools are designed to assist with training evaluation and coaching. AI-generated recommendations are informational and should be used as a supplement to — not a replacement for — professional instructor judgment. BrassOps does not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated analysis.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BrassOps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or damages arising from reliance on the Service.
The Service is a training management and documentation tool. It does not provide legal advice, and its use does not guarantee any particular legal outcome in litigation or administrative proceedings. Agencies are responsible for ensuring their training programs meet all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Our total cumulative liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the total fees paid by your agency in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BrassOps, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law.
14. Termination
- By You: You may cancel your subscription at any time by providing written notice. Access continues through the end of your current billing period.
- By Us: We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, fail to pay fees, or if continued service poses a security risk. We will provide reasonable notice when possible.
- Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. We will provide a data export as described in Section 9.
15. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify active users of material changes at least 30 days before they take effect via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
18. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any service agreement executed between your agency and BrassOps, constitute the entire agreement between you and BrassOps regarding the Service.
